Who We Are

We’re Ryan and Miranda Fickert, a beach‑loving Missouri family who fell in love with North Captiva Island long before Silverseas Cottage became ours. After years of vacationing here with our two boys—Jake and Slade, who adore every inch of the island—we knew we wanted to create a place where others could experience that same sense of magic, calm, and connection.

The island has given our family some of our happiest memories, and planning our own vacations over the years helped us understand exactly what travelers need to feel at home. Because of that, we’ve thoughtfully equipped Silverseas Cottage with every comfort, convenience, and coastal touch we wanted during our own stays—so your trip is not just easy, but exceptional.
